DESE CVTE Team is seeking your support – Please complete the CTE Framework Educator Survey

CTE Framework Educator Survey
Over the last couple weeks, NS4ED joined DESE staff on a tour of six schools with various Chapter 74 programs and school models to see Chapter 74 frameworks in action and to gather feedback for the next generation of framework development. As part of the process of continuous improvement, NS4ED will build upon our current strengths to best support the needs of educators and the workforce. To collect more information, CCTE is asking that CTE educators complete an anonymous Educator Survey. This information will help CCTE better understand how the current frameworks are utilized for instructional and planning purposes. Please take a few minutes to complete the Survey. Please complete responses by March 3. CCTE appreciates the time and support of this important work.

Still Collecting “Best in Show” Contest Submissions

We are once again having a ‘Best in Show’ category. We are looking for 3-5 exceptional items per school that showcase true craftsmanship, innovation and creativity. Attendees will be asked to vote on the ‘Best in Show’. The student, school, and program that created the piece will be recognized, and the student will receive an official MassCTE, Best in Show, award plaque. Items will be raffled off after the awards banquet. We are trying to beat the high bar that was set at the last conference by Smith Vocational’s “Dr. Seuss Clock”. We want a show-stopping piece that will make our guests say Wow!

HERE ARE THE STEPS FOR SUBMITTING A GIFT FOR THE 2023 MassCTE CONFERENCE:
1. Email Jarrod Lussier if you plan to submit an item.
2. Once confirmed, assign the project(s) to your student and have them create it by Wednesday, March 29, 2023.
3. Deliver project after 5pm on Thursday March 30, anytime on Friday March 31, or by 10am April 1, 2023 to the 2023
MassCTE Conference at the Renaissance Hotel, 28 Patriot Place.
4. Please attach a school business card with the name of the student who created it with, their shop, and Year of Graduation.
5. At the banquet dinner on Saturday April 1, 2023, a student-project will be selected as the ‘Best in Show’.

We look forward to seeing you in March. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Regards,
Jarrod R. Lussier
