Across the Commonwealth this week Chapter 74, students and staff will be celebrating SkillsUSA Week!! This incredible support for our student is led by Executive Director, Karen E. Ward of SkillsUSA Massachusetts. An incomparable leader, motivator, and role model for all of our students.
The highlight of the week will be 50TH ANNUAL STATE LEADERSHIP & SKILLS CONFERENCE FROM APRIL 25-27. During these days, District Student Winners will gather in competition to select our Massachusetts State Champions. These incredible students will represent Massachusetts at the National Conference late June in Atlanta, Georgia.
Although everyone of our students is “special” our National Conference Team will be the “best of the best” and will be “favorites” in the Nationals!!
We are also excited and appreciative that the Honorable Governor Maura T. Healy presented a citation to Executive Director, Karen E. Ward recognizing the “2024 STATE LEADERSHIP & SKILLS CONFERENCE!”
The citation states: ”WE COMMEND YOU FOR YOUR WORK AS A TALENT PIPELINE, BEING A VITAL COMPONENT TO RECRUTING AND RETAINING A SKILLED WORKFORCE .”
