Local vocational high school preps students for college or the workforce
Essex Tech is training students in fields starving for qualified employees

Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School serves more than 1,700 students from 53 different North Shore communities.
"We are different. Vocational education is different," says Superintendent Heidi Riccio. "As soon as these kids enter us in grade nine, we teach them that we are training them for the workforce."
The school offers opportunities to explore 25 different occupational careers, including a Veterinary Science program that provides on-site training through a collaboration with Angell Veterinary Clinic, which is located on campus.
Many of these programs were highlighted in Sights and Sounds of Essex Tech, a musical video made in association with Express Yourself Inc. and choreographers from the off-Broadway production of STOMP.
