We are truly excited to share some incredible news concerning Massachusetts SkillsUSA which recently received yet another National Recognition. Our student organization has won another APEX Award. APEX Awards are the top industry awards for publication excellence nation-wide! The SkillsUSA Massachusetts award was based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry, in the opinion of the judges, in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence.
It is our understanding that the SkillsUSA Massachusetts award for 2023 represent only the third time that a state association has been recognized.

I am very proud to share that SkillsUSA Massachusetts, Inc. has been selected as an APEX Award Winner in the Print Media; Meetings and Event Materials category for our Fall Stare Leadership Conference Program and Guide.
APEX 2023 awards were based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry–in the opinion of the judges–in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence.
This is a prestigious award recognizing quality, excellence and creativity.
How many entries were there? How many awards were given?
1,125 entries were evaluated in the following distribution: Public Health Concerns: 28; Environment: 13; Newsletters: 82; Magazines, Journals & Tabloids: 192; Annual Reports: 39; Print Media: 52; Electronic Media: 110; Virtual Communications: 11; Social Media: 41; Websites: 60; Campaigns, Programs & Plans: 93; Writing: 286; Design & Illustration: 87; One- of-a-Kind Publications: 31.
353 APEX Awards of Excellence were awarded to recognize excellence in 100 individual subcategories.
How competitive were the entries? Very. Each year, the quality of entries increases. Overall, this year’s entries displayed an exceptional level of quality. The APEX judges saw only the most promising publications that professional communicators could enter. From them, they had the truly difficult task of selecting the award-winning entries.
