Put Your Students on

the Road To Success

Do you have juniors who are interested in a high paying and rewarding career right after high school graduation?

Do they enjoy working outside and working with their hands?

Then the Pre-Apprenticeship and Vocational School Training Program may be for them.

In this week-long program, students will learn the process for applying to the Laborers’, Carpenters, Iron Workers, Electricians and Operating Engineers Unions. They will also learn, through hands-on classes, line and grade, how to mix and install concrete and take a field trip to an apprenticeship training center.

Participants may earn CPR/First Aid certification, get one on one assistance with their resumes and become eligible for paid co-ops. Please visit https://www.mapavstp.com/success-stories.html to see examples of our program graduates.

Good morning,

I hope this email finds you well and that you had a great Thanksgiving. Please pass this message along to your membership.

We are scheduling weeks for the Massachusetts Pre-Apprenticeship & Vocational School Training Program in March, April and May for juniors. Please see the attached informational flyer as well as the video on our website if you are not familiar with what a week with us looks like. This one-week program introduces students to careers in the Highway Construction Industry. We explain how to apply to the five Highway Construction Trade Unions as well as offering students the opportunity to earn certifications through hands-on instruction and field trips. Funding is provided by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. There is no cost to your school for instructors, materials, or transportation.
