A Shoutout to Bryan LaFortune for completing the JLAB internship at Mass General Brigham! The Junior Laboratory Ambassadors (JLAb) program provides high school students with an immersive introduction to pathology and laboratory medicine at Mass General Brigham. Offered during school vacation weeks and summer break, the program delivers a unique, hands-on learning experience that bridges classroom knowledge with real-world medical science.
Through interactive activities and mentorship from expert pathologists and medical laboratory professionals, students explore the critical role of laboratory medicine in healthcare. Participants gain foundational skills in laboratory techniques and medical diagnostics, developing problem-solving abilities while understanding the intricate processes of disease diagnosis and treatment.
