Good morning,
I am reaching out to you today to provide you with some important information regarding the MAVA/FSU Master in Education program.
Program Title Change
Beginning this Fall 2024 the M.Ed. in Curriculum and Teaching program name has changed to M.Ed. in Pedagogy and Learning. Students that have been officially accepted into the program have been notified by FSU of these changes, but if you have any questions about this program title change, please contact Jennifer Murray in the School of Graduate, Online and Continuing Education (SGOCE) or to the general SGOCE email address gce or to 978-665-3182.
Students who were admitted to the programs prior to Fall 2024 will remain in the M.Ed. Curriculum and Teaching program. This change will only apply to students who were admitted for Fall 2024 and beyond. There are no other changes to the program. The requirements will remain the same. It is only the program name that is changing.
If you are a current M.Ed. student and want to change to the new program, you can do so by contacting SGOCE for next steps.
Next Cohort is Starting in the Spring 2025 Semester
I am happy to announce that MAVA/FSU is starting the next cohort for the M.Ed. in Pedagogy and Learning this Spring 2025 semester. Earn your master’s degree in as little as two years with flexible online classes. You can apply all of your 6 OCED licensure courses (up to 18 credits) towards this program as long as you have taken the licensure courses at the graduate level for credit. You can also apply the 3 graduate credits from the SEI Endorsement course. In addition, if you have completed the MAVA Leadership Academy 1, you can apply the additional 6 graduate credits to this program. Please find the PowerPoint attached for more information including the Program of Study.
Don’t wait to apply to this program. You can receive more information about the program and the FSU admissions process by contacting Lynn D’Agostino at ldagostino
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Sheila
