Congratulations to Southeastern’s Khadeja Mukassabi, who was recognized at today’s Massachusetts Science and Engineering Fair Day on the Hill.

Khadeja’s award-winning science project, which focuses on manipulating soil nutrient levels as a natural and sustainable deterrent to defoliating pests, was a true labor of love and qualified her to participate in the International Science and Engineering Fair 2026

.

We are so proud to see Khadeja recognized by the Massachusetts State Science & Engineering, state legislators, and Commissioner of Education Pedro Martinez.
