🎉 Congratulations to the Minuteman Sophomores team at the Massachusetts Envirothon! 🎉
Minuteman Regional High School’s Environmental sophomore squad earned 2nd place in this year’s Massachusetts Envirothon, a statewide high‑school environmental competition that emphasizes hands‑on studies in soil, water, forestry, wildlife, and a rotating “current issue” topic!
For their outstanding performance, the team received:
A medal, a “field‑ready” bandana, a certificate, and park passes for the year; generously provided by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Students collaborate in teams of five, tackling real world environmental challenges through field testing, oral presentations, and intensive problem-solving. From ancient soil profiles to wildlife ecology and current environmental dilemmas, participants gain valuable scientific knowledge and leadership skills. In Massachusetts alone, teams convene each spring to compete across four Eco stations and deliver presentations on pressing environmental issues!
A heartfelt thanks to the organizers, our fabulous environmental instructors, and DCR for supporting these future leaders and fostering environmental stewardship across our Commonwealth.
