Good morning MAVA Colleagues,

For the 39th time, the Chapter 74 Vocational Technical & Agricultural community will gather this evening at Mechanics Hall to honor some of our amazing students as we conduct our Annual Outstanding Vocational Technical Student Award Ceremony. As we all agree, it is certainly a highlight of each school year!

This tradition and the students we will honor this evening reminds us that despite challenges made to change our “Gold Standard” nationally recognized programs, we continually advocate and support nothing but the best for our current and future students. When you look around Mechanics Hall, reflect on the years of remarkable vocational technical education and what our schools provide, not only to the individual graduates, but to the Commonwealth’s workforce pipeline and economy.

It is fitting that one of our staunchest advocates for so many years, is our Keynote Speaker. Timothy P. Murray, President & CEO of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce and former Lt. Governor.

Have a very special evening.

David
