We just received this wonderful picture from Karen Ward, Executive Director of SkillsUSA Massachusetts. It shows our SkillsUSA state officers heading to the Leadership Training Institute in Washington, D.C.

As we have in past years, MAVA is helping to fund the trip. Karen and the officers are very appreciative.

At some point, we will ask them to make a presentation at one of our MAVA meetings.

Dear Steve and David,

Today, Friday, September 20, 2024 SkillsUSA Massachusetts State Officer team is off to Washington DC for the Washington Leadership Training Institute (WLTI).

Our staff and student officers are looking forward to the many unique and special opportunities that await us as we visit with the US Department of Labor, Senator Warren, and several Representatives.

Our trip will also include visiting our Nation’s most important monuments, memorials, and museums as well as the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery for some very special opportunities.

We are enormously grateful to MAVA for investing in this trip. It is only possible because of MAVAs generous support.
