We have been offered a great opportunity to partner with the Worcester Railers Hockey Club to honor CTE programs and schools!
January 17, 2025 the Railers will host their first ever Trades and Tech Night. Discounted tickets will be offered to all CTE students and families. If you are interested in extending this offer to your school and community, please appoint a school representative to reach out to Paul O’Leary from the Railers. Paul will create a link specific to your school to purchase tickets and handle all sales and ticket distribution. Paul will need one point person to provide the flyer and link to in order for each school to distribute information to their individual communities.
It should be a great night, and we thank the Railers for paying tribute to CTE programs across the commonwealth.
Steve Sharek, Vicki Zarozinski, and I have been discussing this a unique opportunity for students, parents, and staff at your school to participate in an evening event in at the Worcester Centrum.
National Grid, Advanced Trucking Group, and the MBTA and they want to sponsor the night. They will be paying for each student and staff member that goes or works in a tech school to get 1 complimentary (free) ticket to the game and family members can purchase additional tickets at a discounted rate.
Students will also have the opportunity to meet representatives of the sponsoring companies about job opportunities and requirements for employment.
<![if !vml]><![endif]>This is a “first” for Tech Schools students and their families! Monty Tech has already decided to be the first school to participate but there is room for everyone who would like to have their students, families, & staff participate. There is no cost to the schools!
In addition, we are hoping that other companies and employers will be there as well to talk with future employees!
A fun night, for students, parents, & staff of our schools and a chance to see and exciting hockey game in a great arena. As more information becomes available, we will be sharing it with you.
