Dear Caitlin,
Since the implementation of the 1993 Massachusetts Education Reform Act, vocational-technical schools have demonstrated the most significant advancements in both academic and occupational education among all types of schools in the state.
Pioneer Institute and the Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators (MAVA) are pleased to invite you to join us on Thursday, July 11, at 2:00 p.m. for a webinarfeaturing career vocational-technical leader and author Dr. Wilfrid Savoie, who will discuss his new book, History of Vocational Education in Massachusetts: A Model for the Nation. Following his remarks, MAVA’s David Ferreira will host a panel discussion on policy lessons from vocational-technical leaders across the state including Jim Brosnan, Superintendent, McCann Technical School; Eric Duda, Superintendent, Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School; Rick Martin, Superintendent, Franklin County Technical School; and Jill Rossetti, Superintendent-Director, Blue Hills Regional Technical School.
I hope you’ll join us for this critical conversation.
With appreciation,
Jamie Gass
Director of the Center for School Reform
