The path to stable, well-paying careers is changing, and access to vocational-technical education is becoming increasingly crucial. Across Western Massachusetts, employers in skilled trades like manufacturing, construction, and automotive technology are struggling to find qualified workers. At the same time, many students feel pressured to pursue traditional four-year university degrees despite their interests aligning with hands-on vocational training.
Now more than ever, we must shine a light on the Commonwealth’s leading vocational-technical educational model and expand access to these invaluable programs that prepare students for in-demand careers.
Pioneer Institute and the Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators (MAVA) invite you to join us on, Thursday for a webinarexamining theimportance of vocational-technical education in meeting workforce needs and providing rewarding opportunities for the next generation of leaders.
Pioneer’s Jamie Gass and MAVA’s David Ferreira are pleased to host Eric Duda, Superintendent of Pathfinder Regional Voc-Tech, for his insights into the growing need for access to vocational-technical programs in Western Massachusetts, as well as a panel discussion featuring Kyle Brenner, Superintendent of Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School; Jim Brosnan, Superintendent of McCann Technical School; Michael Moriarty, Executive Director of OneHolyoke CDC and Member of the Massachusetts Board of Education; and Ted Noonan, President of Noonan Energy Corporation.
