We are very pleased to share this wonderful news from Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School!! A Federal grant will provide funding for expanding existing infrastructure and facilities at its Danvers campus.
In addition, It will also provide space for Company2Heroes, a non-profit service dog training organization specializing in dogs working with combat veterans diagnosed with PTSD, TBI, or MST. This expansion will enable ENSATS to further its commitment to supporting veterans and their families while providing invaluable hands-on training opportunities for its students.

DANVERS — Essex North Shore Agricultural and Technical School District (ENSATS) proudly announces securing $850,000 in federal funding to expand workforce development and Veterans-focused programs through infrastructure projects on campus. This funding is part of a multimillion-dollar community investment package secured by Congressman Seth Moulton for community projects in the Sixth District.
Essex North Shore Superintendent Dr. Heidi Riccio expressed her appreciation for Congressman Moulton’s efforts, stating, “We are immensely grateful for Congressman Moulton’s dedication to supporting our greater school community. We are proud of our work to provide workforce development opportunities to our day and evening students, including those with barriers to employment.
With this funding, Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School (ENSATS) will invest in expanding existing infrastructure and facilities at its Danvers campus. A particular focus will be upgrading the Gallant Hall HVAC-R systems, windows, doors, and Alumni Gymnasium bathroom. It will also provide space for Company2Heroes, a non-profit service dog training organization specializing in dogs working with combat veterans diagnosed with PTSD, TBI, or MST. This expansion will enable ENSATS to further its commitment to supporting veterans and their families while providing invaluable hands-on training opportunities for its students.
About Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School
Essex North Shore opened as a four-year Massachusetts public career technical and agricultural high school in September 2014. ENSATS admits students from 17 member communities to the district’s 26 career technical and agricultural programs. Member communities include Beverly, Boxford, Danvers, Essex, Gloucester, Hamilton, Lynnfield, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Marblehead, Middleton, Nahant, Peabody, Rockport, Salem, Swampscott, Topsfield, and Wenham. Students from across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts are also eligible to earn admission to Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School’s seven animal science, agricultural, or natural resource programs.
ENSATS students are immersed in both their academic and career technical and agricultural (CTAE) programs throughout each year of their enrollment. Academic courses are available at the college preparatory, honors, and advanced placement levels. CTAE program placement is determined after participation in a Freshman Exploratory Program. Eligible students may also participate in the Cooperative Education Program, beginning midway through junior year. Academic and CTAE Program coursework is aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, Massachusetts Career Vocational Technical Education Frameworks, and Massachusetts High School Program of Studies (MassCore).
