Thanks,

My name is Cody Meador, and I am reaching out from the Office of College, Career and Technical Education on behalf of Elizabeth Bennett and Nicole Smith. As you may know, in Spring 2024, DESE will submit an updated Perkins V State Plan to the federal government aligned to DESE’s Education Vision and the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V), which provides federal funding to recipients implementing career-connected learning. We are in the process of collecting feedback and developing proposals for any updates to the state plan that can help improve our state systems for offering high quality pathways, career and technical education, and career-connected learning in Massachusetts.

Your voice and those of your teammates at the Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators represent an important stakeholder in our collective efforts to provide all students in the Commonwealth with access to high quality career-connected learning opportunities. We hope that you will join us at one of the stakeholder input sessions below and encourage you to share this invitation with others on your team.

The stakeholder input sessions are divided into secondary and postsecondary education topics. Please join one or both that may be of interest to you. Topics to be discussed include CLNA, leadership and reserve funding priorities, accountability, programs, student support, and state vision for education and workforce development.
