Chapter 74 vocational technical & agricultural schools offering opportunities for their students that include learning opportunities outside the classroom or laboratory.

Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School Your bridge to the future… Your gateway to success.

Colleagues,

It is wonderful to have so many of our Chapter 74 vocational technical & agricultural schools offering opportunities for their students that include learning experiences outside the classroom or laboratory. Collaborating with national agencies such as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA), students connect with scientists and field experts.

Four freshmen from the Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School’s Environmental Technology Program applied for and are now Ocean Guardian Youth Ambassadors through National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Marine Sanctuaries Program. The four freshmen are Wareham residents Lilia Lopez Del Moral and Emma Pacheco as well as Marion residents Lia Estes and Kent Spooner. The NOAA Ocean Guardian Youth Ambassador program provides engagement for youths whom are committed to ocean conservation. As Ocean Guardian Youth Ambassadors, these students will have access to toolkits, presentations, opportunities, and guidance from NOAA scientists.

The program provides a new level of engagement for youth to develop stewardship of our blue planet and new ideas and a unique perspective to learn more about America’s underwater treasures and to share their passion with others.
