The MVA/MassCTE organization is saddened to learn of the passing of Donald Ayer. Don passed away peacefully on Friday, October 28th 2022. Don was a dedicated and tremendously valued member of our career vocational technical education community. Don was a veteran, former vocational instructor, school committee member, and recipient of the MASC Lifetime Achievement Award.
Don was a longtime member of the Massachusetts Vocational Association, and Executive Board President from 2010-2011. Don also served as the MVA’s Eastern Chapter President and on various committees championing career vocational technical initiatives for many years. In 2007, Don was awarded the MVA’s Harold L. Pride Award, the highest award given by the MVA, in recognition of his significant contributions to the growth and improvement of the MVA and the entire career vocational technical education community.
We offer our sincere condolences to his family and many friends. Don will be greatly missed.
